I haven’t had much time to do any sewing the last couple of days. Usually on the weekends we are busy doing family things. Sunday at church we had a birthday celebration for the whole year. We design tables for each month and have a big cake and ice cream party. It was a lot of fun. We had a huge turn out his year. More than we expected I think. I decorated the table for the month of September. My theme was bringing in the harvest. It was cute.
I used John Deer plates and napkins. There are veggies and fruits on the table. Joshua was kind enough to let me borrow his tractor for my center piece. I also made a cake and tried to make it look like a barn.
I have spent the last two days cleaning up around the house and running to stores. Yesterday was my hubby’s 34th birthday. Yeah. We had a nice meal. He wanted a pineapple upside down cake and French vanilla ice cream. His brother and family came over after supper and brought him some gifts. It was a very nice relaxing evening. Many thanks to God for those.
What a cute idea. There is a large church nearby that does a Festival of Tables every year as a fund raiser. There are lots and lots of tables decorated by different people in almost any theme imaginable…. Elvis, bunny rabbits, red-white-blue, clowns, music, teapots, Christmas, etc. They have a guest speaker, a catered meal, and people buy tickets to sit and eat at your table and enjoy the speaker. I’ve always thought it was the coolest thing ever!
How cute is that? Love it! 🙂 We had our housewarming party this past September and my theme was Fall/Harvest. My absolute favorite next to Christmas! 🙂
