Through my blog hopping adventures I have seen many quilters who have listed their UFO’s. I thought I should do that some day. I haven’t really had the time. Today while I was sitting around and feeling some what better I decided to actually list and count my projects. I am ashamed to admit that I have only been sewing and making quilts for 4 1/2 years and I have accumulated 39 UFO’s. 8 are complete tops. 16 are projects that all the blocks are made they just need to be made into tops. And 15 are WIP. These numbers are crazy to me. I thought I had about 20. Never close to 40. So can you tell where my ADD takes over during the quilt making process. It seems that I like to make a lot of blocks and worry about tops later. I am still amazed at my lack of commitment when it comes to finishing a project. So now I have to convince myself not to start any new projects until I finish some of my UFO’S.
Oh me too – I have add when it comes to my projects. I do more piecing than actual quilting, and tend to get bored FAST! Lol* Then once in a while I get in ‘finish it up’ mode and will blast through projects I have sitting around. It’s a vicious cycle. Lol*
I CANNOT believe you have so many projects and have only been quilting for 4.5 years!!! I have been quilting for 3 years and I don’t think I’ve begun 40 projects, let alone have that many sitting around to be finished! 🙂 WOW! 🙂
