Quilt Book

I have been wanting to buy this book for sometime because I am an unexperienced quilter. I can straight line quilt all day long. I have been afraid to free motion quilt. I think my biggest fear is that I will be really bad at it. But anyways, I found this book at a discount store yesterday. It was the only one and only $7.00. I had to get it. I also bought 2 cook books for $3.00 a piece. How exciting. They are hard covers too.

I went to the OBGYN today for my post-partum check up. It went great.

Some very sad news for my family came this weekend. My great grandmother passed away. She was 88 years old. She had a lot of health issues and her body decided it was time to go. She was a wonderful, kind and caring lady who will be missed. I take comfort in knowing that I will see her again someday. I miss you Gramma.

  1. So sorry to hear about your Great Grandmother. I agree, it is very comforting knowing we will see our loved ones again someday! Good luck on your adventure into free motion machine quilting. I am sure with practice you will find you are good at it.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family on the loss of your great-grandmother. Losing someone close can be a sad time.

I’m sure you will be good at free motion quilting. Deciding to try is the first step towards acheiving that goal. I learned to free motion on chinese coins quilts where I only had a 6 inch space to squiggle around in. Not a lot of choice where to quilt but down the coin sections 🙂

  3. Sorry to hear of your loss.

I am also about to start myself on free motion quilting so would be interested to hear how you find that book as a reference guide.

  4. I’m so sorry to hear about your Great Grandmother, You’re lucky to have gotten to know her as an adult. My great grandmother died when I was in my late teens, and she was 101! The quilting book looks really interesting! I hope to see what you might do with it!
