Free Motion Quilting Tutorial

I was searching for a binding tutorial for a friend and came across this free motion quilting tutorial and thought it was worth sharing.

I have yet to try free motion quilting. I guess I am worried that I will really suck at it. LOL. Most of my quilts get straight line quilted with my walking foot. It is safe I know.

Today is the last day to leave a comment and try to win this great fat quarter.

I will announce the winner tomorrow. Good luck and happy blogging.

  1. Great tutorial – my new machine does FMQ but I have not done anything yet except play a bit. I just need to pick a project and push forward, I think. Maybe I will start with a bag or tote first -small scale – before I devour a quilt.

  2. I last tried machine quilting about 37 years ago – first and last quilt for over 20 years, but got back to it and go for handquilting all the way! Would love to win this pretty fat quarter!

  3. Hey, thanks for the link :). I think it’s way easier to machine quilt small things, so you could give it a try on a doll quilt or something… or just scraps.
