Scrappy Candle Mats

Today I finished making 7 candle mats. I had some scrappy blocks left over from my wall hanging. The candle mats are about 9 inches square.

I have been meaning to take a picture of this fabulous pillow my mother in-law Judy made for me. She makes gorgeous quilts too.

I have an appointment to take Andrew to the doctor in an hour. Poor little guy still has a cough. He was supposed to get his four month shots tomorrow but I don’t think they will still give them to him. We will see. I am very anxious to see how much he weighs. I am guessing close to 20 pounds already.

Today is the last day to comment on the Batik fat quarter that I am giving away tomorrow. Good luck and happy blogging.

  1. How are you binding those candle mats? It looks so smooth? And is there a batting layer in there? …inquiring (and inspired) minds want to know…

The piece your MIL did is just lovely. I like the embroidery on it – nice touch!

  2. Your candle mats are pretty. Such a great idea and wonderful way to use scraps. I think the pillow is marvelous; she did a nice job. Hope that Andrew is feeling better soon;give him a hug from me! Your fat quarter is lovely!
