Belated Birthday Cake & Christmas Ornaments

Tyler baked a cake last night. It is butter pecan with chocolate icing. Yummy. He has said that he wants to be a chef. He is a teenager and will probably change his mind a million times by the time college roles around. The cake mix was left over from my birthday. Tim was supposed to bake it but couldn’t because the roast was in the oven. The picture is a little blurry. He was being goofy. So this is the only good one I got.

I made these two Christmas ornaments today for a swap partner. I hope she likes them. They had to be handmade. I hand stitched the beads on and hand stitched them close.

The Christmas tree is a dark green felt with glitter on it. It is hard to tell from the picture.

  1. Tyler looks like he has grown a foot since the last photo. Plus he looks like a teenager; his cake looks yummy. I made brownies last night, could not resist the chocolate urge!

Your decorations are great. The second one is my favorite, the bright Christmas colors displayed so beautifully. I really have not began to think about Christmas yet. Thanks for sharing.

  2. My son first said he wanted to be a chef in 6th grade…now six years later he is working as a line cook in a restaurant and applying to Culinary Arts colleges for when he graduates high school this June! so Tyler just may be a chef…

Very cute Christmas ornaments! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  3. Love the decorations.

Tyler is growing up too quickly is right. Carissa will be 13 Dec 1st. Kayla is 10 on Saturday.
