Lily of the Valley Quilted Wall Hanging

I recently showed you a peek of a project I was working on. Well after three long years it is finished. My oldest UFO is complete. It feels great. One more project to cross off the list. I like it. Now that it is finished I have decided that I should of done the sashing in the red instead of the binding. The lily material washes out the pieced blocks. Isn’t that always the way. Once your done you nit pick your own work. I am to critical on myself. So here it is:

  1. I like it. Are those beads sparkling in the centers of the flowers? Very pretty. I know what you mean about nit picking, I think we all do it. Hang it somewhere where you can see it at a distance and I bet you will like it better. I think you learn from each project, what NOT to do next time. lol You can always stitch around the pieced blocks in green trim (ric rack? or some kind of thin trim) if it bothers you too much. That would frame them and separate from the sashing.

  2. Holly,

I love my quilt/wall hanging. I am going to put it at the stair landing, I have been wanting to put an artistic piece there and now you have done it for me.

    Again, thank you. Love Grandma
