My New Sewing Box

Saturday my husband and I went to an estate sale in our neighborhood. As we walked from room to room looking for hidden treasures I came across a sewing box and an old singer sewing machine. The sewing box reminded me of the one my mother had in our house growing up. I opened it up and it was filled with all kinds of wonderful notions. Lace trim unopened from the 1970’s, unopened thread, buttons, and two paper measuring tapes. I was oohing and ahhing enough that Tim said he would buy it for me. I was so excited. Like a kid in the candy store.  I wish I had my camera to take a picture of the machine. If it had worked my husband was going to buy it for me.Isn’t he a doll.

  1. This is so cool. I have a similiar one, but not legs. I got it years and years ago…..I should clean it out and put cute stuff like buttons in it. Your button collection just got a bonus…I love the old buttons.

  2. Wow! It’s beautiful! Tim is so sweet! I’m glad you did get it. I don’t know what I was thinking it was when you told me of it, but it’s beautiful! I would have had to have it too!
