My cousin Brittany contacted me last year and asked if I would be willing to make a quilt for her mother as a Christmas gift. She wanted to put pictures on fabric and make them into a quilt. I embroidered the family name on one of the green squares. It was like taking a trip down memory lane for me. We spent a lot of time with my grandparents and aunts in Ft. Myers. It was nice to see her family pictures and think about the times we spent together when I was growing up. My how quickly time passes by. Even though it was a simple pattern it was by far the most challenging quilt for me. Mostly because of fear. The fear of messing it up or not getting it done in time. It turned out beautifully. I am so thankful that Brittany asked me to make this for her mother.
