Feeling the Love

When you create a blog you never know who is going to stumble across it. You just hope and pray that someone does. Before Facebook, my blog was the main way I shared my craftiness with my friends and families. I don’t get to post as much now as I used too. Priorities change and life just gets in the way of what I want to do. I know that sounds selfish right? Why can’t we just sit at the computer for hours on end and sew until our hearts are content? Well for me nothing around the house would get done. What about you? I tried talking my husband into a house cleaner once every two weeks. I’m still doing the cleaning. Sigh…

Back to Feeling thee Love. I recently had a lady named Cathy who lives in France email me with a picture of a quilt she made using a quilt pattern that I created. So exciting! Who knew someone in France would stumble across little ole Fabric Mom. I asked Cathy for permission to share a picture of her quilt top with my readers.

She used the Easy Firefighter Baby Quilt Pattern. Cathy’s quilt top measures 96″ x 80″. Can you believe this is only the second quilt top that she has ever made? Hats of to you Cathy. It is gorgeous. I love the color combination and how she made sure the Eiffel Tower fabric was vertical. The fabrics she picked out all look very nice next to each other. Not to busy or blah. One again, Great Job Cathy. I can’t wait to see what you make next.

Easter Shirt for Andrew

I stitched out this shirt for Andrew last night. They are having an Easter party tomorrow at preschool. I love the chocolate bunny with raggy ears and a tail. The brown fabric has letters on it. The bunny applique design is from Applique Alley.I also stitched out this cross for a mug rug. I love the pink and black color combo. I am thinking of making a mini log cabin block to go with it in pink and black. The cross was designed by Applique Momma.

Cardinal Wall Hanging

I made this wall hanging for a swap on My Quilting Buddies. The theme was bird/birdhouse. I found the bird panel on ebay and fell in love with it. I just love cardinals and sunflowers. I so wanted to keep it for myself. I used some multi colored thread to quilt the leaves, around the bird, colander, and the bird house.

I also finished this UFO table runner.

Tote Bags

These three tote bags were made for people I love dearly. They are very roomy and have 6 or 7 pockets on the inside.

I made this one kid sized with some 2 1/2 inch strips of fabric. It is perfect for carrying around a few toys or a small baby doll.

Silly Boys

I was playing around with the camera yesterday taking some black and white pictures. The boys decided they wanted their picture taken too.

Here is a picture Tyler took. I was feeding Andrew and Josh wanted to sit with me. They are so sweet. I love my boys.
