3 blogs

Ask me why I have three blogs? It is crazy trying to keep up with one.  I try to keep this blog just for sewing and quilting. I have Fabric Mom’s blog which is the first one I started where I post about other crafts I make. And then there is Posty Pals, which  is for fabric postcards. Posty Pals originally started as a group of 6 or 7 women who all swapped with each other. We don’t get to swap like we used to. However I still keep the blog going for people interested in making fabric postcards and for people to get ideas from.

I recently posted some new posted some new pictures if you would like to go over there and visit.

My Quilting Buddies Mystery Quilt Final Clue

Here is the final step for the mystery quilt that I designed and hosted on My Quilting Buddies. It was a lot of fun. If you make one please email me with a picture. I would love to see it.

The flash washed out the color in this picture. I will take a better picture later and share it. In this picture you can’t tell that there are pinks in the quilt.

Wandering Ways Quilt

In this post I introduced my pattern for the Two Color Strip Quilt Pattern that I designed. I also showed a picture of what it would look like with bright colors and black for the background.

This quilt now has a name, Wandering Ways. My grandmother asked me to make it for my cousin, Tina.

I found some really cool strip fabric at the store for the back.

Two Color Strip Quilt Pattern

It took about 3 hours and a few kid friendly distractions to write the instructions for this free quilt pattern today. It looks more complicated than it really is. It is made up of 6 1/2 x 12 1/2 inch blocks and 12 1/2 inch blocks. If you can sew squares and rectangles you can make this quilt. If you have any questions please email me@ holly@fabricmom.com.

Just wanted to note that the fabric requirements are 3 yards of the beige and 4 of the red. This is a little over estimated for error.
