Woodland Pincushion

I received, in my opinion, the cutest pincushion ever in the mail yesterday. Every time I look at it I get a huge silly grin. I need get a littel bird or squirrel button to go with it. The log house is the pincushion and so are the polka dotted mushrooms. A lot of effort and time went into this. Thank you so much Connie. I hope you are reading this. It is just fantastic.

Sick Baby

Andrew isn’t feeling well. He has a fever off and on starting yesterday. He has a lose cough and is very cranky. Not to mention that he has two mollars coming in at the same time. I am getting ready to call the doctor.

Christmas Ornaments & Cupcake Pincushion

I thought I would share some ornaments that I have received. I was in a cupcake ornament swap and received this cutie.

We received a package from Tim’s parents. His mom made two adorable ornaments. We love them.

I made this cupcake pincushion. I am going to make a few more and give them away as Christmas presents.

It measures 3 inches high and 2 inches wide. I found a place to buy the little ceramic dishes for 95 cent a pack. 2 come in a pack. You can’t get much better than that.

Last night we went to Tim’s bosses house for a Christmas party. It was fun. Her house is huge. It is right on the river. It was very foggy last night. We went out on the dock and it was kind of spooky. The fog was very thick.

Call Me Crafty Holly….

I have been wanting to make a pincushion out of the baby food jars for some time. I just haven’t had a few minutes to do it. Andrew, God, love him, doesn’t want to be one inch away from me. 🙂 I know, I should enjoy it now. He is growing up so quick.

He has taken quite a nap today, so I took advantage of it. I made a pincushion storage container , a cup cake ornament, and a mini cup cake ornament.

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Thankfully. I am thinking about putting instructions on my site for them. I decided to make a sleeve for mine. I have seen them with out one so that you can see through them. The cap comes off and will be perfect for storing bobbins and such.

The second picture is a little blurry. I used a plastic lid from my quilt basting spray for the bottom. I then used a plate to make my circle for the top. I sewed it like making a yo-yo. Stuffed it, then hot glued it on the top. I want to make more of these. However I am going to have to find something else for the bottom. Can’t be taking the plastic lids off everything. LOL.

I used a lid from an empty 2 liter diet coke bottle for this one. Isn’t it adorable.

Here is all of them together. It gives you a better idea of how big they are.
