Friendship Bag Swap

Here are two friendship bags I made today using Rachel’s Tutorial. The one on the right I am keeping. I sewed the lining in backwards. I seam ripped it and ended up sewing it in backwards again. I know…I laughed too after I screamed. I did manage to learn from that lesson and get the second bag right. I am mailing it off to my partner after I finish a bigger bag that I am making her too. Andrew seems to like my little bag. He has been carrying it around. It is just his size. I think I will make him one out of boy material. Boys can have tote bags too. LOL. DSC07970

He thinks he is getting ready to get yelled at for having Mommies bag. Do you think he gets told no a lot?

Spring Blooms Mini Quilt Challenge

dsc06486

Here is my finished mini quilt. I really hope my partner likes it. I mailed it Tuesday. It measure around 16 x 20. I used my rotary cutter to make the stems. So none of them are the same. that was fun. The grass I cut free hand with scissors. The only thing I used a template for was the flower. I think the background fabric is my favorite part. I wanted something with some movement in it. Not just a blender or a solid. Then I pulled colors out of it for the flowers.
